Last day of November

I am still enjoying my daily walks

There are always some interesting animals to see

Cricket time again and as always the grounds are well looked after, especially the pitch.

The spring rains have been good and the flowers have been magnificent

The birds have been lovely to see

especially all the families around this time of the year

This family is growing up fast

and sometimes it is best to keep close to Mum!

I have really enjoyed this spring and all the rainfall.  The weather has been milder than in previous years with more rain and lots of nice sunshine.

It will not be long before our very hot weather comes.

Spring continues

We have had lots of Spring rainfalls this year and everything looks so green and the plants are flowering well.

I saw this circle of daisies during one of my walks

On a drive I saw this  view of the Yarra Valley

and this avenue of trees

There are a lot of families like this one at this time of the year

When trying to take a picture of this family

these three horses decided to get into the picture too!

It is lovely to see all the green grass around this time of the year.  It will not be long before our hot weather begins and the grass dries out and is a yellow colour.

Rain, Rain and more rain

Lately we have been receiving lots of rain.  Too much for some areas in Australia where they have experienced flooding.  I am sorry for all the distress the flooding has caused.

Around the area where I live the bird life have been enjoying all the extra water pooling on the ground

The birds like the tall gumtrees

It will not be long before our hot summer weather begins so it is nice to see some moisture around on the plants etc.

Spring has arrived

Once again we are enjoying lovely blossoms this Spring

This rainbow lorikeet is enjoying the flowers on this gum tree

A young crimson rosella who still has a lot of its' juvenile green feathers to shed

Its' parents were not far away

More of the lovely blossoms

One of my favourite pastimes

One of my favourite pastimes is walking, especially along the old Warburton Railway track that has been made into a lovely pathway.

There are lots of interesting trees along the track

and this old railway tunnel

The wattle trees are coming out in bloom and this one overhangs the pathway.

A close up of the lovely wattle blooms

Deviating off the Warburton track there are lots of properties which make the walk interesting.

A stump which has moss growing over it.  It is nice to see some greenery around because of the rain we have had.  Summer is so different!

Pretty blossoms are appearing now giving signs that Spring is fast approaching

Nature is marvellous and it is always enjoyable seeing all the changes throughout the year.

That's all for now,
