Monet Exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria

I took advantage of seeing the Monet Exhibition which is drawing to a close in Melbourne

Another artwork on display was the above pond in which there were white floating china bowls.  When the bowls touched there was a lovely chime sound.

A closer look

No pictures were allowed to be taken of the paintings.  The above are a couple of post cards I bought as a memento of seeing the Exhibition.  It was well worth the visit.  The cafe at the Art Gallery was made up in the style of Monet's kitchen which gave it a great atmosphere.

That's all for now

A visit to Altona and Williamstown

When visiting Altona we saw these metal sculptures near the entrance to the Altona Pier

This picture shows the length of the Altona Pier

A view of the beach area

Looking over the water in Williamstown you can see the buildings of the City of Melbourne

It was nice to see the black swans and of course there are the usual seagulls.

Another view of the buildings in the City of Melbourne

There were lots of boats as well as this big ship.

This duck was enjoying the good weather.

This black swan did not seem at all frightened and came right up to us as we were walking along the footpath
The entrance to the yacht club.  It was a lovely sunny winter's day .  A lovely area to visit.

That's all for now.
