Last day of May

The Autumn colours continues

A burn off during the cooler weather

On my walk I saw this lovely banksia flower

as well as this Australian themed letter box

Last weekend I made sticky date pudding for sweets which all the family enjoyed.

Autumn 2019

The Autumn colours were late this year due to the Indian summer we had.

There has been some interesting fungi around all in different shapes and sizes.

I saw these lovely proteas when visiting Melbourne recently.

With the rain we have been lucky to have had moss has started to appear.

An Autumn garland.

Whether it is dry or wet I enjoy my walks especially in the Autumn season.

Anzac Day - Lest we forget

On Easter Sunday morning we

The 15th Australasian Quilt Convention Quilt Show

I always enjoy going to the Royal Exhibition Building

There are always lots of vendors

and lots of beautiful quilts to see

I took this picture on one of my walks.  We are starting to see some Autumn colours despite our Indian summer.

A long dry summer

This summer it we have had some smoky days from the fires

the ground has been so dry

not much green grass but lots of yellow colour

It was nice to see these Ibis

 and this Eastern Rosella

and these three during my walks

A grey Heron

At last we have had some good rain fall

After the rain the sun came out and I was lucky to see this double rainbow.

It has been a dry long hot summer and as we head into Autumn I hope we get lots of rain to replenish the water catchments etc.

That's all for now,

Happy New Year 2019

One of my favourite pastimes is walking

There is always so much to see

Although a common sight I do enjoy the cockatoos and seeing all the birds around our neighbourhood

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year
